The Regional Director of Health Initiatives for the Illinois Division – Eastern Region of American Cancer Society is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders consisting of healthcare leaders and systems, community organization, and institutions to promote the adoption and implementation of cancer control policies, practices, and programs. Also, this position develops a regional strategic plan to facilitate the adoption of prevention, early detection, and patient support programs within target health systems. This position is directly accountable for building and managing collaborative relationships with all oncology providers in the 19 county Eastern Region including 70+ physicians and surgeons, (4) four Commission on Cancer Accredited Hospitals, (7) seven Critical Access Hospitals, and various outpatient chemotherapy/infusion clinics.
